person-avatar

Asking for Self, Female, 30 years old, Peshawar

I am unmarried, weigh 54kg with 5'2" height. My periods used to be regular like 4-5 days bedore due date, last month they were 2 days prior to due date but now they are 2 days late. I do not have any other medical issue nor m i taking medicine for any problem. Late periods just freak me out. Can I be guided what could be the cause of late periods?

Thanks for sharing ur concern. 2-5 days late or early is normal. Is there any other issue like heavy painful bleeding ? facial hair ? acne, weight gain etc ? if nothing, then nothing to worry about. stay home stay safe.

Thanks Dr. Asim for your response. I do not have any symptoms of all the problems you mentioned. Doesnt menopause occur after 50? I have resumed my exerise from last week but as I started after a gap of 2 months due to lockdown it was of low impact. And yeah I do stress alot. My sleep is good but owadays its just 5 hours due to changed routine of Ramadan.

2 days prior or 2 days late is not considered late. One can veer have one set date throughout life. +/- 5 days is normal. The cycle should range between 21-35 days. As long as the flow is normal and and days it is all good.

Thanks Dr.Kholod for your response. Leme wait for a few more days then but I got worried as my periods used to arrive early from the due dats and now they are lost even after the due date.
