Talk to General Physician on Skin Allergy
Asking for Self, Female, 27 years old, Lahore
I have very bad skin allergy. Red patches in circles forms. Cause severe itching. Consult diff dr. One dr recommend to use Tablet Dertacortil 5mg (3days 4tabs in morning and 2 at night) along with antiallergy rigix. I want to ask is it safe to use dertacortil. As i read its side effects like diabetes blood pressure. Bcoz these are my family problems. And i am also facing post partum depression with left arm and chest pain..so with all these problems can i use that tablet..

if u are not diabetic and hypertensive don’t worry but Avoid pregnancy and do HbA1c
All normal drink lot of water rehydrated urself and eat cran max 1 Sachet bd do Ultrasound kidneys its just for ur own satisfaction

Yes sure you can use deltacortil safely as it’s only 3 days , short term use has no side effects and doesn’t need any tapering. Also rigix is fine for you. It would help your allergy to settle down if it’s really an allergic skin rash.
It could be some kind of fungal skin infection also and for the correct diagnosis we have to see the rashes picture and what part of the body you are having these? Regarding postpartum depression you need a consultation with the doctor .
Also was your pregnancy normal? Did you have any issue of high blood pressure of gestational diabetes during pregnancy ?
Also how many weeks postpartum are you now? Are you breastfeeding?

If u use it regularly with same dose then it will b highly harmful and dangerous... You have to taper the dose u can not use steriods regularly with same dose... For proper tapering off your dose of deltacortil u can contact me through marham
