Talk to Gynecologist on Anti D After Delivery

my blood group is B- and my husband's is O+ ...its my first pregnancy..I got shot of Anti D (Rhogam) on my 12th week pregnancy due to heavy bleeding..my csection was done on 6th November..my baby's blood group is also B- ...my dr said I dont need of Anti D shot..but I am confused whether I had to take shot of Anti-D or is it fine of not taking it
