Talk to Gynecologist on Birth Control Pill

Salam doctor. I just got married recently and my husband does not want to use contraceptives most of the time. I wanted to take birth control pills since both of us dont want kids as of now. I dont want to take over the counter pills like Yasmin or Diane. The only concern that I have heard from birth control pills is weight gain, mood swings and hormonal imbalances. Can you please suggest me which birth control pills which would have minimal side effects and suitable for my age? I am in my 20s (23), regular periods alhumdullilah and no irregular medical history.
