Asking for Self, Female, 33 years old, Karachi
I have a 3.3cm ovarian cyst in right ovary and my ovary is enlarged 4.8x3.5cm. Left ovary is normal. my CA 125 is 8. I had my last period on May 1st. Then on May 17 I started bleeding again. My bleeding didn’t stop so my doctor prescribed me Omatril. It’s my third day of using this medicine. Bleeding has reduced and now I’m only spotting/ light bleeding when urinating. How long does this medicine take to completely stop the bleeding?

as per my knowledge Ometril is progesterone.of course it ll reduce your bleeding but its not the cure of ur adenexal cyst.as per my knowledge CA 125 is also wthin normal range.as long as ur cyst is not producing any symptoms then u hv to b on f up-ultrasounds and all...wch r suppose to b done 3 weekly...keep all ur record safe...and as soon as u ll leave omatril ur bldg may resume...right now u r required to hv treatment for ur cyst not bleeding...hope my reply answers ur query...

Dear wth progesterones i already told u tht u ll hv ir regular bleeds...but my question is tht y r u given omatril for the treatment of dermoid cyst?...anyways all the best...and tc...

Actually my cyst was causing heavy bleeding that wasn’t stopping so the doctor gave me this to stop the bleeding

I guess u hv internet access...y dont u read about dermoid cyst and its symptoms...u ll b able to get its treatment options as well...do one thing read MANAGEMENT OF DERMOID CYST BY GREEN TOP JOURNALS/RCOG...????

I’ve been told to get the ultrasound done 21 days after finishing this treatment. Was told that periods will start once I stop this and after that ends to get the ultrasound done. However my question is that is it ok to still spot lightly even 4 days after taking ometril?
