Asking for Mother, Female, 43 years old, Mianwali
Aoa. My mom who is 43yrs old has been having longer periods (almost 9-11 days) for past many months. She went to the doc who gave her tranexamic acid. Did not do any investigations just gave her this med..
This tym she had postmenstrual spotting for many days after her period ended and also i guess luecorrhea for the whole month.. she still has watery discharge. No other complaint whatsoever, like no pain no foul smell
I asked her to visit a doctor but she's unable to do so due to some house work.
I just wanted to know is it something serious? Should we be concerned and do we need to see doc soon or can we wait till her next cycle?
Thanks your mother needs to have proper check up nd us by gynacologist to rule out cause of spotting nd may needs to have diag D and C
aoa
It is recommended that a lady more than 45 with menstrual irregularities which includes heavy or prolonged bleeding or spotting for days need to be assessed properly. assessment includes a biopsy or in simple word a test of the womb as we need to rule out cancers or hyperplasia as these only present with menstrual irregularities.
