Asking for Self, Female, 23 years old, Islamabad
I am a breastfeeding mother of 6 months old. I m not having periods since delievery. I went to dr and she gave me primolut N for periods. I asked her about contraceptive and she prescribed me familia 28. Pls guide how to take familia as it contains 2 coloured tablets. And will my periods start after taking familia? Pls guide.

if u r breastfeeding exclusively, u may not have your menses and it is a natural contraceptive method but not 100% reliable. u dont need primolut n. secondly for contraception, it depends as for how long u need it. Long term meaning 2 to 3 years break, the best will be either an intracontraceptive devoce or a subdermal implant
