Before pregnancy my TSH was normal. (In june) When i concieved with twins in August i had severe vomitngs (Hypermesis gravidarum) Due to severe vomitngs Dr conducted my TSH n it results Hyperthyroidism. Pictures are attached before n after. Now endocrinologist is confused to start treatment or not as it could b gestational thyrotoxiocis And i m not satisfied with his statements regarding not to start a treatment because according to my info it could cause miscarriage or abnormalities Currently i m 12+ weeks Need second opinion from Doctors here that whether to start treatment or not?? If start than what is the name of medicine n what could b the dosage?? Thanks
Hi
This condition is self remitting... So no need to start anti thyroid drugs... They are given if patient is already hyperthyroid before pregnancy.. If still you have any queries, you may book an appointment with me as endocrinology is my special area of interest...
if you want 2nd opinion, please take online or hospital appointment :

Not thyroxin.
2nd Dr said that only PTU is safe in pregnancy.
So she prescribed PTU 50mg once a day n after 1 week 50mg BID.
Is this dosage is correct or i need to take other opinion??
