I am 8 weeks pregnant. I had a miscarriage 3 months ago at 8 weeks. My doctor had advised me Pregnovit in my first pregnancy and told me to continue it even after my miscarriage. I was taking pregnovit when i got pregnant again and i continued taking it till 6weeks of this pregnancy. I then found out that pregnovit has Vitamin A and its consumption can be dangerous in first trimester. I got a scan done at 7weeks 1 day and it is fine and FCA is present. But i am worried that is this vitamin A going to cause any birth defects? Each tablet haf 6000 IU of vit A . Kindly, guide! Thank You

The doseabove 5000iu is unsafe and is considered harmful...this has only 600iu..so u are in the safe zone..further let me add a little bit more for your information..that worrying in pregnancy is more harmful:)For further information book a consultation
Vitamin A should not taken in Ist trimester more than five thousand IU but birth defects reported with doses higher than ten thousand IU sp dont worry Do 12 weeks nad 18 weeks scan for birth defects
Stop taking it it may not harm your pregnancy but you need to have regular consultation with your doctor because you had abortion previously there are so many things to keep in check to help you with a safe pregnancy
