Im 24 years unmarried..I have diagnosed with ovarian cyst last friday.. i had no symptoms.. my periods were always regular.. have 29 day cycle... sometime i feel pain in stomach... nd having bloating of lower abdomen since i was 14 years old.. i did not have a single of pelvic ultrasound because of my regular periods.. last friday i go to hospital and done pelvic ultrasound in a chill.. but doc told me its ovarian cyst ..size of 4×3.7 cm ... doc give me Diane 35 for 3 months ... now i want to know how much the cyst could be old ??? No ultrasound report doc gave me... just an ultrasound scan.... doc said its simple cyst... normally when will ovarian cyst goes ..because this year im gona be married.. nd i dont want to marry with having cyst..

lesser than 5 cm...no treatment required neither invx...only follow up until unless it produces any symptoms or increases in size or changes comes in its appearance...keep all scans safe...go for regular scans ...do it from a good ultrasonologist who gives u written reports and pics each month...GOOD LUCK!!!

No one can tell for how long the cyst has been there. Follow up scan after medicine course is needed to assess the size of cyst. Mostly it disappears after 3 months of treatment.
Thanks for asking. Majority of the simple ovarian cysts resolve by themselves and you must have to follow them up. Since you’ve regular cycles and no other gynaecological symptoms so all you need to do is follow up scans.
