Talk to Gynecologist on Periods Issue

I m married, age 24, baby of 14 months. My problem is that i am having periods issue. I had periods on 16 april. So according to it, i should have periods on 16 or 17 may but it started on 9 may, light spotting and continued till 20 may. After that proper bleeding started. And till today it is going on. Can u pls tell me is it normal? Or i am having any issue? I am planning to consult a gynecologist on monday so i want to know are there any tests which should be done beore going to her as i don't want to go to hospital again and again.
