Talk to Gynecologist on Periods Pain

I used to have my periods every month but the date always go beyond the last period date and I face extreme pain during starting 2 days.

But this month I got my periods one week before the due date and they were painless with average flow whereas i used to have heavy flow.

Is it normal? As the bleeding was medium in 1st day and then 2nd 3rd day it ws less and now its just little bit spotting.

History: married have 2 kids the younger one is 1year old
