Hi i m 24 yrs old breastfeeding my 5 month old after his birth when i get periods for 7 days then they finish again after 2 3 days bleeding starts somtimes for 7 days sometimes for 3 4 days almost more than half a month i m bleeding dr is saying this is because u r breast feeding she presciribed me omatril twice a day but bleeding is not stopping

u need to do hormonal profile and other invx to rule out the cause...wth breastfeeding ir regularity is common but mostly its in the form of spotting-ur USG also shows PCO-in my opinion is u r exclusively breast feeding ur ovaries shud b dormant/sleeping...any ways seek an OBG consultation and advice...hope u understand the limitations of online consultations...
