Asslamualikum! Can you plz tag someone as I have posted my query many times . I’m 16 weeks pregnant and my dr prescribed my aspirin 81mg at 12tg week of pregnancy. I do’t have any bp or other health problem Alhumdulillah but dr said they prescribe aspirin here in USto prevent preeclampsia in kids in ladies over 35yrs. I do’t want to take any medicine bcoz of their side effects. I’m already taking prenatal. Plz advise JazakAllah .

prophylactic use of Aspirin is indicated wth positive family hx of HTN PIH or previous hx of HTN PIH GDM APLS etc-infact if uterine artery doppler done at 16 wks show impedence flow then it is also advisable to take...rest ur attending OBG is the best judge of ur condition-too many cooks spoil the broth-u shud listen to ur attending OBG...

Any pregnancy after 35 years of age can ends up on some kind of complications you are just 16 weeks, wait up till 26 weeks you will get answer. After 20 weeks pregnancy related issues start. Better to follow your doctor's advise.
