Aoa doctor. I am 29 weeks pregnant Alhamdullilah. Recently i felt weight on my pelvis and vaginal area. My doctor did ultra sound and found i have cervix which is 29 mm, and recommended me complete bed rest. Also she has given me progeffik medicine to be inserted vaginally. However i try to insert it several times but it keeps coming out and turn liquid very quickly. What should i do? Also is this a danger zone if my cervix has shortened to 29?
Assalam o alikum. at 29 weeks of pregnancy cervical length of 29 mm is normal. if you have pressure symptoms or pain lower abdomen you can use vaginal tablets. if you are not comfortable with progeffik you can use cyclogest 400mg at bed time vaginally it's very good but you need to remain lying down at least 2 hours after inserting any vaginal medication. also you need to rule out any urine or vaginal Infection. good luck.
