intercourse is not restricted while having UTI, though some people could be fairly unwell and might not even think about this.I t depends what are your symptoms a lot of time mild cystitis can self-resolve but if it is uncomfortable will need antibiotics like trimethoprim/nitrofurantoin etc.
intercourse is a potential causative factor in few females to develop cystitis.
if it's recurrent it will need investigation
